Competence systems
A competence system describes attitudes that are significant in terms of achieving a corporate target (i.e., what attitude helps to achieve the planned objectives) and assesses them according to the agreed scale. A competence system can be linked with the management by a result system.
Value:
- The focus is not only on “what to do”, but also on “how to do it.”
- Clearly formulated expectations for employees that facilitate assessment of his or her development.
- A shared understanding of which attitudes are considered significant in terms of achieving the target.
- Talents separated by skills-based assessment or employees who are of critical importance for the organisation (good is different from excellent).
- Assessment of results becomes more objective.
