Diana Paakspuu

Mentor for Strategic Change and Financial Management

My practical experience as a top executive and my structured thinking as a CFO enable me to support leaders and ambitious professionals in gaining clarity and implementing strategic changes.

As a Mentor

My focus is always on the person, not just their problem. I create a safe and welcoming environment where we can look beneath the surface and determine whether the problem at hand is truly the right one to address, or if a deeper strategic or personal obstacle is lurking behind it. I serve as a supportive reflector and sparring partner, while keeping the focus on the mentee’s accountability, independence, and clear action steps.

Experience

I hold the EMCC Global EIA certification and am an alumna of the Fontes 15th coaching mentorship programme. I have 4 years of targeted mentoring experience, including supporting IT leaders, CEOs, mid-level managers, and specialists at a major international bank. My leadership experience includes over 10 years of international financial management at Swedbank at the Estonian, Baltic, and Swedish levels, as well as 6 years at G4S.
As CEO of the Reuse Centre, we grew revenue by 65% and profit by 34% over three years during times of crisis; I also gained valuable experience managing an organisation with 150 employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, where a coaching leadership style was critical. In addition, I have served as a strategic advisor at Miltton New Nordics and currently contribute as the CFO at Ecosh Life.

Who Does the Mentor Work Best With

I work most effectively with people who are willing to look beneath the surface and take responsibility for their own development. I expect my mentee to be open-minded, genuinely committed to making an effort, and ready for honest self-reflection and taking the necessary steps.

What a mentee gains from this collaboration

A mentee gains greater clarity, the ability to see the big picture, and the skill to distinguish what’s important from what’s not. This collaboration builds confidence in making complex decisions and provides practical tools for managing people, processes, and change.

Areas where the mentor adds the most value:
