Erli Aasamets
Mentor for Systemic Development and Educational Leadership
A systemic perspective helps reveal the connections between individual management challenges and broader organisational patterns, and shapes development strategies that also find their way into day-to-day management.
As a mentor
I create a safe space for honest reflection, where you can push boundaries, identify patterns, and step out of your comfort zone when necessary. My mentoring focuses on reflection, systems thinking, and a commitment to ethical and sustainable solutions. I help clients see the connections between individual problems and broader organisational patterns so that development doesn’t remain merely a discussion but leads to real change.
Experience
I have been active as a mentor for nearly ten years, primarily in development programs in the fields of education and leadership, and I hold EMCC Global Practitioner-level accreditation. I have served as principal of Kilingi-Nõmme Gymnasium since 2011 and have worked in education for over 30 years. My experience includes school administration, school development, creating staff development programs, developing mentoring systems, and collaborating with local governments, higher education institutions, and international partners.
Who Does the Mentor Work Best With?
I work most effectively with mentees who are willing to reflect honestly, take responsibility for their own development, and explore new perspectives. I’m a good fit for someone who values systematic thinking, substantive growth, and can appreciate a sense of humour in collaboration.
What a mentee gains from the partnership
A mentee gains a clearer understanding of their role, strengths, and areas for growth, a more systematic and mindful leadership style, and greater confidence in making complex leadership decisions. The partnership helps align strategic goals with day-to-day management and move the organisation forward in a more thoughtful manner.
Areas where the mentor adds the most value:
- Strategic development of educational institutions
- Change management
- Developing organisational culture and collaboration
