Team analysis

The purpose of team analysis is to analyze the team as a whole and objectively assess its strengths and weaknesses. This allows for better understanding of oneself and others and increases team cohesion. This, in turn, accelerates the development of cooperation and openness and creates opportunities to realize the team's untapped potential. Fontese's team analysis creates a solid foundation for meaningful team management. As a result of the team analysis, the team gains ideas and tools to unlock and realize its maximum potential.

Team analysis

Team analysis supports cooperation and mutual understanding within the team. To this end, we put the team to the test with a cooperation task and analyze the team’s performance using personality tests. This reveals the team’s resources and risk areas, which can be used as a basis for cooperation agreements to promote collaboration.

What does team analysis consist of?

  1. Setting priorities. In cooperation with the client, we set the priorities for team analysis according to the context of the organization and the challenges facing the team in order to bring about meaningful developments.
  2. Completing a personality questionnaire. Before the team analysis meeting, we ask each team member to complete a work-related personality questionnaire (approximately 20 minutes). We then generate an individual team role profile for each team member and compile an overview of the team as a whole.
  3. Team analysis workshop. This involves a group task and team analysis. The task provides an opportunity to test the team by solving a game scenario. The team analysis looks at the inherent tendencies of the team members as a whole to identify the dynamics that enable and hinder teamwork. As a result, a summary of the team’s strengths and development needs is made, and cooperation agreements are established.
  4. Additional option: individual coaching personality test feedback. Each team member can also have an individual development conversation with a consultant, where they can discuss their profile results and focus on their strengths and areas for development based on their role.
  5. Additional option: Follow up. One month after the team analysis, there is an opportunity to have a follow-up meeting with a Fontese consultant to discuss progress and advise the team on next steps and opportunities.

What personality tests are used in Fontes?

We use reliable tests developed by scientists on an evidence-based basis. To verify the results, we provide feedback and validate them with behavioural examples. We use the following personality tests:

  • WOPI Workplace Personality Inventory maps 16 different personality traits that are important for assessing work performance and style. It provides a clear insight into an employee’s aptitude for leadership, collaboration, and innovation. The test includes a team role profile that assesses aptitude for different roles. In addition, the test also maps the risks of burnout.
  • The OPQ32r Occupational Personality Questionnaire is one of the world’s leading personality tests, mapping up to 32 personality traits, from achievement orientation to tolerance for criticism. It provides a comprehensive overview of how a person communicates, solves problems, and makes decisions. Based on the results, we can generate a Belbin team role profile to conduct a team analysis.
  • WorkPlace Big Five is based on the world’s leading Big Five personality theory and reveals 23 different personality traits. The practical results help to create personal development plans and support more informed management and cooperation.

Each personality test takes about 25 minutes to complete and can be completed online via the corresponding website. All tests can be completed in Estonian, English, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Russian, with additional options available for some tests.

We select the test based on the team’s needs in cooperation with the client.
