Personality-based profile analysis

We map out a candidate's innate talents, potential, and areas for development through personality tests and interviews. Personality traits reflect a candidate's aptitude for success in various roles—a profile may reveal an aptitude for change management or, for example, successful sales work. Personality profile analysis is a simple solution that allows you to assess a candidate's innate communication and thinking style and behavior patterns. All of these are critical when making recruitment decisions, starting a collaboration, or managing a person in order to understand their prerequisites and development potential.

Personality-based profile analysis is a simple solution that does not require much time or resources, but helps to map out the main prerequisites for taking on a new role.

  • Objectivity

We use evidence-based tests that provide reliable and meaningful results. We validate the results during interviews and ensure their accuracy.

  • Focus

We set the focus together, map out the challenges and expectations, and link the profile and expectations of the role being recruited with personality traits to identify both prerequisites and risk areas.

  • Talent experience

We give talent empowering feedback, help them discover their innate potential, and support them in realizing their development potential.

  • Valuable additional information

Personality profile analysis helps you make more informed decisions by providing information about assumptions and risks that are not apparent from a CV and a traditional job interview.

Personality-based profile analysis

Personality assessment provides useful insight into a person’s predispositions and behaviours. For example, personality reflects a person’s predisposition for cooperation, leadership, creative or systematic thinking, ambition, and stress tolerance. A personality test reflects what kind of work suits a person well, what they are likely to be good at, and what they might enjoy. In addition, it provides insight into which kind of organisation a person might fit into—some people are predisposed to work in a more flexible, changeable environment, while others are better suited to more stable, regulated work.

Personality tests provide valuable additional information and enable growth in self-awareness. It provides you with information that could otherwise take years to understand. Personality tests are useful in recruitment, career counselling, mentoring, employee management, promoting teamwork, and generally enabling talent development.

Fontes selection of personality tests

At Fontes, we use reliable tests developed by scientists on an evidence-based basis. We always conduct a feedback or validation interview with personality tests, where we provide feedback on the results and validate them with behavioural examples – this is the only way we can be sure of the results.

  • The OPQ32r Occupational Personality Questionnaire is one of the world’s leading personality tests, mapping up to 32 personality traits, from achievement orientation to tolerance for criticism. It provides a comprehensive overview of how a person communicates, solves problems, and makes decisions. We recommend using it for recruitment and for assessing managers and top specialists.
  • WorkPlace Big Five is based on the world’s leading Big Five personality theory and reveals 23 different personality traits. The practical results help to create personal development plans and support more informed management and cooperation. We recommend using this test primarily for development, self-awareness, and onboarding.
  • The WOPI Workplace Personality Inventory is a more focused framework that maps 16 personality traits important for assessing job performance and suitability. It provides a clear insight into an employee’s aptitude for leadership, collaboration, thinking style, and suitability for working in different organisations. We recommend using this test to promote self-awareness in career counselling, mentoring, and team analysis.

To achieve the best results, we use dimensional and normative tests. Dimensional means that the test focuses on interpersonal differences and maps a person’s unique characteristics. Normative means that the personality test describes characteristics relative to those of other managers or specialists.

Each personality test takes about 25 minutes to complete and can be conveniently taken online on the corresponding website. All tests can be taken in Estonian, English, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Russian, with additional options available for some tests.

A process that supports development

Personality-based analysis is quick and requires minimal resources, but it provides valuable additional information and insights that could otherwise take years to uncover. As part of the personality profile analysis:

  1. Meeting with the client. During the meeting, we discuss the need for assessment, challenges, and expectations in order to set priorities.
  2. Informing talent about the upcoming personality analysis. We ask the client to inform the talent about the upcoming assessment and to let them know it is a good opportunity to increase their self-awareness.
  3. Fontes conducts the assessment. We contact candidates, agree on a time to complete the test and provide feedback, and conduct the assessment. The personality test takes about 25 minutes to complete, and the test feedback is provided during a 1-1.5-hour meeting.
  4. Discussion with the client. The assessment consultant presents the analysis results to the client and discusses the candidates’ profiles, suitability, and any questions.
  5. Feedback to talents. Once the client has made a decision, we provide each candidate with personalised coaching feedback during a meeting, with a view to their new role or broader career opportunities.

Personality-based profile analysis typically takes 3-7 days, depending on the talent’s availability.

  • I am enthusiastic about using WOPI personality tests as both a coach and a HR manager! I have been actively using them for the past five years in recruitment, coaching, and career coaching. All the people I have tested and given feedback to have found the test results useful in getting to know themselves better and setting goals for self-development. The good thing is that the test is international and can be used in different languages and cultural contexts.
