Maarja Kaasik-Ots is an EMCC-certified leadership mentor and career consultant with over 15 years of management and business development experience in the IT field. For the past five years, Maarja has worked as a partner and business manager at Helmes, an international software development company, where she was responsible for the day-to-day management and growth of the software services business, maintaining long-term customer relationships, and supporting people’s development.

Maarja’s passion is people and interpersonal cooperation. As a leader and mentor, her mission is to contribute to people’s personal and professional development through strength-based management. As a trainer, Maarja’s main focus is on value-based management, teamwork, and the role of a manager in building an effective team, including 1:1 and annual reviews, personal development plans, and supporting their implementation in the organization.

Maarja has been working with Fontes for over 8 years. She has completed Fontes’ leadership coaching mentor program as both a mentee and a mentor and has supplemented her talent management skills in Fontes’ career counseling and leadership program. In addition to mentoring projects and training, Maarja is active in the Fontes Alumni Club Council.
